WHO WE ARE

We Are

family

mission

statement

Special Forces Association Chapter 7 serves as the voice for the Special Forces Community in the Florida Panhandle; perpetuates Special Forces traditions, legacy, and cultural norms across generations of active and retired Soldiers. Through deeds and words, advances the public image of Special Forces and promotes the general welfare of the Special Forces Community and their Families.

WHAT WE DO

FAMILY

The cornerstone of the Soldier and Veteran is the Family. The most important thing in our lives and there for us in good times and bad. Too often, for too much time, the demands of Service in Special Forces puts the family secondary to the mission demands. We want our families to be and stay resilient, optimize the time at home, reintegrate after deployment, and transition together after retirement.

PILLARS OF CHAPTER VII

heritage

A commitment to honor and uphold the legacy of our predecessors, maintaining the culture of excellence, never forgetting the sacrifice of our fallen and wounded. The construction of memorials are a visibilble reminder to future generations of Soldiers and families. The conduct of memorial ceremonies provides mindful time together, to reflect on the service and sacrifice, and to contemplate how we can live up to that legacy. The time and resources for memorialization are never a priority, but are the one thing that will preserve the memory and heritage in the hearts and minds of future generations of Soldiers, the Family and the Community.

community

The network that sustains us, and keeps safe those we hold most dear - stronger together. Our communities on the Emerald Coast are the best in the Nation. Patriotic, genuine, caring and compassionate. The operational tempo of Army Special Forces units makes building and maintaining relationships a challenge. Efforts to bring the unit members, their families and the community together are always valuable. The families that live in our communities benefit from the public safety, the schools, the economic environment, and most of all from the great people of our area. Building and maintaining these relationships during good times ensures they will be there during times of need and trial.
